Christmas greetings
Dear members of the association! Dear Bauhaus friends!
As Christmas and the New Year approach, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best! Once again this year, I would like to thank all our supporters inside and outside the association for their dedicated cooperation and wish them a good start to a successful and, above all, peaceful year 2025!
Particular mention should be made of the continuous and reliable work of our association's board, which met almost monthly for work meetings in the teacher's house and provided active and technical support. Once again this year, we were able to show a photo exhibition with architectural photographs and films by Jean Molitor entitled ‘Arieh Sharon – From Bauhaus to the World’ in our rooms until 31 October.
We are currently planning an exhibition for next year entitled ‘Denkmalschutz als Chance’ with 7 successful projects by Brennearchitekten, dealing with classical modernism. The vernissage is planned for 26 April 2025, until then visitors can view artefacts from our archive on our premises.
We also want to gradually revise and reissue our publication series. A publication about Arieh Sharon is also being considered. It should not go unmentioned that our World Heritage Site has reached the 10,000 visitor mark this year.
Best wishes, also on behalf of the Executive Board
Yours
Friedemann Seeger
Since its foundation on May 4, 1990, the baudenkmal bundesschule bernau e. V. association has been committed to the preservation and scientific research of today's UNESCO World Heritage Site and its extension buildings.
The over 30 years of successful work of the baudenkmal bundesschule bernau association is based on the stable and committed work of its volunteers. The aspect of joint activities to solve diverse and very interesting tasks is the real reason to be a member of the association.
Our sponsors
The Baudenkmal Bundesschule Bernau Foundation was established in 2011 through the commitment of the town of Bernau bei Berlin, the district of Barnim, Sparkasse Barnim, the Berlin Chamber of Crafts and the baudenkmal bundesschule bernau e. V. association. Its task is to promote the collection, research and presentation of the Bauhaus monument.
The Berlin Chamber of Crafts has been supporting the association for years with monthly donations that enable its volunteer members to realize projects.
The state of Brandenburg provides the premises and all of the association's operating costs in the Teachers' House at Hannes-Meyer-Campus 9 in Bernau-Waldfrieden. Without a place of activity, the association could neither organize exhibitions nor be present for its members and visitors.
We thank all our supporters from the bottom of our hearts!
