Exhibition with Photos & Films by Jean Molitor

On March 8, 2024 at 6 pm, the association baudenkmal bundesschule bernau e.V. celebrated the opening of its new exhibition "Arieh Sharon - From Bauhaus to the World" with photographs and films by Berlin photographer Jean Molitor of buildings by architect Arieh Sharon with around 50 guests. The trio "Swinging Albatrosses" provided the musical accompaniment. Until October 31, visitors can now view the exhibition on Thursdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by prior arrangement with the Visitor Center.

The Berlin photographer Jean Molitor travels around the globe for his bau1haus project. It is a historical-architectural search for traces. For the exhibition "Arieh Sharon - From Bauhaus to the World", he embarked on a journey to the Bauhaus architect's places of work. From Bernau via Tel Aviv to Ile-Ife in Nigeria. A selection of impressive photos will be on display, accompanied by four films that have accompanied Molitor's work over the past nine years. The exhibition promises to be an inspiring journey through the history of architecture from the 1920s to the 1980s, which will delight both architecture enthusiasts and art lovers alike.

The exhibition is accompanied by a booklet featuring works and texts from the exhibition. It is available for EUR 5 directly on site or can be ordered via the association's website (bauhaus-denkmal- bernau.de) in the "Publications" section.

The exhibition was sponsored by the Stiftung Baudenkmal Bundesschule Bernau, the Kulturstiftung der Sparkasse Barnim and Ganter Architekten, Gesellschaft für Architektur mbH.

The exhibition "Arieh Sharon - From Bauhaus to the World" is open from March 10 to October 31, 2024 on Thursdays and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm. Individual visits outside of these times can be arranged in advance with the Visitor Center Bernau.
